Hi all,
It’s Steven once again to let you know that the department made the paper again this time it is an announcement about a May Term class known as Theatre Company. The basic idea behind this is that the company made up of sharers would put up a play during May Term here at Waldorf. The Company as a whole is in charge of every major decision that is to be made from set to costumes, lighting, casting, and whatever else is need to put on the production. The Company has decided that we will be doing William Shakespeare’s A Mid-Summer Nights Dream.
So that being said the Theatre Company class would like to let everyone know that the Company will be holding auditions from 6pm-8pm on April 6th and 7th in Smith Theatre. We are looking for actors, technicians and musicians to help the class put on this production. No prior experience is necessary unless you are a musician.
Please come and an audition. It should end up being a lot of fun.
Also, here is a link to the story if one needs more explanation for this production:

Three-ater and 24 Hour Theatre Project wrap up
March 27, 2008
Hey all,
It’s Steven here again to tell one and all about what our two major service projects for 50 Days of Service which were Three-ater and 24 Hour Theatre Project. Let’s start off with Three-ater. These show were all amazing and after a slow start on the Febuary 24th with Two Rooms we had a lot of success. We had between 20-40 or more people show up to each of the shows from Tuesday-Saturday and in a space that can hold at maximum maybe 50-60 people I would say that those are some great numbers. In fact we even ran out of chairs one night. Again, I would like to thank everyone again for their wonderful performances in these three amazing plays. It was awesome.
The next event that I would like extend congratulations to is the 24 Hour Theatre Project, and thank everyone who helped the three great one act plays. For those that don’t know the 24 Hour Theatre Project was an event in which three one act plays needed to be written, directed, costumed, have props pulled for and acted all in span of 24 hours
The three plays that were performed were called Tampons and Cleavage, Nessie, and A Roll of the Dice. It was quite a fun experience to have under our belts. So, again I would like to say to everyone involved we did really well despite the lack of sleep for some of us, and I would like to thank everyone for their hard work.
Way to Go!
